Chris Wallace is a husband, father of three, cancer survivor, and die-hard St. Louis Cardinals fan currently residing in McKinney, Texas, a suburb just outside of Dallas. He has nearly fifteen years of experience as a designer, developer, and entrepreneur focused on digital experience design, seven of those as a founding partner and Creative Director of Lift UX, an award-winning, Emmy-nominated user experience design agency.
Chris started his career in 2004 as a design partner at Nexdesign Studios, a distributed digital agency, while studying at St. Louis Christian College. He soon accepted a job as a Webmaster at that very same college leading various design and development for both print and digital. From there, he became an E-commerce Web Designer at Network Solutions and eventually moved into a front-end development role in the User Experience Group at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. Chris’ experience there encompassed a variety of web applications and websites including management of the front-end code on Enterprise.com.
These roles all ultimately prepared Chris to lead the experience design discipline as a partner at Lift UX. At Lift, he has worn many hats, moving from design to WordPress development to managing servers, all while acting as Creative Director overseeing design delivery across all clients and projects. Over the past seven years, he has helped create compelling digital experiences used by millions around the world for clients like AMC Networks, GoDaddy, eBay, and others.
As an entrepreneur, Chris has always had a knack for building small side projects into successful businesses. From co-founding a WordPress theme shop, UpThemes, to acquiring and growing one of the first viral design resource freebie sites (365psd.com) to over 1.2 million monthly pageviews, he has experience with digital & physical products, e-commerce, and WordPress publishing. He has helped build and sell a handful of successful web properties and enjoys personal projects as a way of learning and growing through hands-on experience.
